This month has been a very busy month for me.  The kids are having their examinations this month and I have been busy helping them with their revision.  I’ve cut down eating out and am totally off rice, noodles and wheat products for the moment.  So far I’ve seen that it has helped me a lot as I don’t feel bloated after meals nowadays.

The numbers are lower on the scale this month and from 65.9kg it has decreased to 64.5kg. I’m hoping that I see 63 or 62 soon 🙂

The LCHF diet that I have been on has helped in my weight lost and I do intend to continue with it.  The kilos do not peel off that easy for me and progress has been at snail’s pace so far.  I think I have to further reduce my carb intake and increase the fats intake to make it more effective.

I will be continuing with the twice a week Zumba fitness workout sessions and add a few more home based toning sessions. My goal is to exercise at least 4-5 time a week if possible for maximum benefit. I still procrastinate a lot when it comes to doing exercise as I’ve never like it. It  sometimes seems like a chore for me especially if I am not in a class and have to do it alone.    Do you have such thoughts about exercise too?

This month has been a busy month for me as the kids had their one week term break.  We spent a lot of time eating out as we were out a lot due to the holidays.

It wasn’t that good for me as I had to really  be very discipline with what I was eating and it’s difficult with the limited choices I had while eating out with the kids.  I’ve managed to bring my weight down to 65.9kg and aiming to hit 64kg if possible by end of next week. ( I’m aiming for a 1kg a week reduction)

 

Current Exercise routine 

I’ve tried doing Zumba three times a week but it was a bit too exhausting for me. The best is still twice a week and a variety of different ab exercises at home which I can do in my spare time.  I’m not really tin climbing stairs but  I try to do it as often as I can.

 

Diet Changes

Since changing over to a LCHF diet I have seen the weight finally started peeling off constantly. I  feel that this is the diet  is helping me as the weight is finally starting to go down for me.  The only downside to this diet is that the organic foods are not cheap and it has increase the amount that I’m spending on groceries weekly.

Capturing Tulips

It has been quite a while since I posted something on photography over at this blog. I had the opportunity to view many many different flowers last month while on holiday in Taiwan. Here are some shots I took while playing with the focus of the camera.

Droplets of water on the flower petals really add “character” to a shot. It shows that the flower looks really “fresh” after having had a drink.

I tried to line up the two tulips for this shot. Focusing on the one in the foreground and blurring out the one behind.

What do you think of this effect?

This shot was taken from the same position the one above but I was focusing on the bi-colored tulips instead of the light pink ones in the foreground.  It is interesting to see how the texture of the shot changes once the focus shifts.

I prefer the shot above as compared to this one as this one doesn’t seem to be cropped as nicely.  The background seems to be a bit too “messy” also. What do you think?
